Privacy Policy
Effective 3 September 2026 · Last updated 3 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data JobSpark collects, why we process it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It describes the product as it actually works today.
1. Who we are
JobSpark is a job search and application management service operated by KanNo AI LLC, registered at 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
For any privacy or data protection question you can reach us at info@kannoai.com.
2. Account and profile information
When you create an account we process your email address, password credentials (handled by our authentication provider and never stored in plain text), your name and the professional profile details you enter: contact details, location, work authorisation, seniority, skills, languages and links such as your website or professional profiles.
3. CVs and professional information
You may upload CV files and build a base CV inside JobSpark. We store these files in private storage, extract structured information from them (experience, education, skills, evidence statements) and use them to score job matches and to generate tailored CVs for specific roles. CV files are only shared with an employer when you apply, or when you authorise an automated application.
4. Job-search preferences
Your saved search profiles, target titles, locations, salary expectations, remote preferences, saved jobs and dismissed jobs are processed to rank and recommend job postings and to run background searches on your behalf.
5. Application data and employer-form answers
For each application we store the job, its status and timeline, the answers you give to employer questions (including custom, employer-specific questions) and the documents attached to the application. Reusable answers are saved so you do not have to retype them.
Answers to sensitive or legal questions (for example work authorisation or sponsorship) are only submitted using the values you provided. JobSpark never invents answers on your behalf.
6. AI processing
We use AI models to summarise job descriptions, score matches, generate embeddings, draft tailored CV content and propose answers to employer questions. AI processing is performed by OpenAI as our AI infrastructure provider, acting as a processor on our instructions.
Content sent for AI processing can include your CV content, profile details, job descriptions and employer questions. AI-generated content is always shown to you and is constrained to evidence found in your own CV — the system is designed not to fabricate claims.
7. Data storage and infrastructure
Application data, files and authentication are hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL, storage and auth) with row-level security so that each user can only access their own records. The automated application worker runs on managed cloud infrastructure and receives only the data needed to complete the application you authorised.
8. Payments
Paid plans are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly; we never receive or store full card numbers. We store your plan, subscription status, billing period and the identifiers Stripe returns so we can apply the correct allowances.
9. External ATS and job sites
Job postings are collected from employer career sites, applicant tracking systems (such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Personio and Teamtailor) and job data providers. When you apply, the data you approved is submitted to that employer's ATS and is then governed by the employer's and the ATS provider's own privacy policies.
10. Automated application functionality
If you enable automated applications, JobSpark can prepare and — only after your explicit authorisation for that application — submit an application on your behalf. Preparation is performed by an automated browser that fills the employer's form with your stored data and uploads your selected CV. We record execution logs, screenshots-free evidence of submission outcome and error details to prove what happened and to protect against duplicate submissions.
11. Career Growth data
Career Growth stores your confirmed skill and language milestones, experience points, trophies, career-path progress and Career Credits ledger entries. These are derived from your own confirmations and application activity and are used only to power your progress view and credit balance.
12. Usage and telemetry
We record product usage needed to operate the service: feature usage counters and plan allowance accounting, AI usage accounting, background job runs, and technical error reports. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
13. Why we process your data
- Performance of our contract with you: running your account and applications.
- Your consent: automated submissions, AI-assisted content and optional integrations.
- Legitimate interests: securing the service, preventing abuse and improving matching quality.
- Legal obligations: tax, accounting and responding to lawful requests.
14. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Application records, answers and execution evidence are retained while your account is active so you have a complete history. Billing records are retained as long as legally required. When you delete your account, personal data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
15. Account and data deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. Deletion removes your profile, CVs, stored files, preferences, applications and Career Growth data. You can also request deletion or a copy of your data by emailing info@kannoai.com.
16. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers. Access to your records is enforced at the database level with row-level security, CV files are stored in a private bucket and are only reachable through short-lived signed links, and automated submissions require a single-use authorisation that is validated server-side.
17. International processing
Our infrastructure and AI providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism offered by the provider.
18. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time.
Most of these are available directly in the product (Profile, Settings and Danger zone). For anything else, contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
19. Children
JobSpark is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
20. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the product or by email.
